Gary Player refuses To Point Finger

Golf.com reports that Gary Player has decided to back on the name of the medicinal product cheats that he had previously named after the media.

"Gary Player was that he was not going to expose two professional golfers, which he claims to have told him that she had used performance-enhancing drugs. The South African legend stirred controversy at the British open in July, when he claimed that two pros told him that used human growth hormone. number of top golfers — including his countrymen, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen — quickly dismissed player's claims of drug abuse in the Gulf, but quickly the PGA Tour announced that drug testing was to begin in 2008."

On Tuesday morning, Gary Player an exclusive interview with golf.com out of Austin, Texas, saying that the two golfers in question had approached him for advice.

"They said," we would like to discuss with you, but our call your solemn word you never had this with any one will discuss would give? " winner of the 72-year-old, the result of four plus great Championship said. "And I said," Yes, I give you my word. "And they said, "well, we tried this growth hormones. What do you think? "And I said," I think you should not, in my opinion, [them]. "Said, "it can only harm. all over the world like flies die athletes.Do not dare to try this.' '

While his take on a possible scandal has pushed aside by most golfers on the circuit, player insists that it is a legitimate concern: "I couldn't imagine a tournament and have lost by a shot," he said, "know that that guy was on Beta blockers or human growth hormones to make him stronger."

If the paths of baseball Golf and cycling follows, it is a sad future for our beloved sport. for now, but I will continue to believe in the players and the organizing body of professional golf.

Golf Shoes

I have golfed more than ten years. However, it was only this season that I decided to get myself a pair of golf shoes buy. It wasn't that I couldn't afford to get a few before, was that I did not see a necessity. I've never found myself slipping on the grass or sliding of my swing, so I don't think there was needed.

When I saw some shoes on the sale of a ridiculous and thought, "why not?"

The shoes I bought improved my game more than any other factor this year.I've shot better, on average, four lines per round this year compared to the previous one, and at least 2 of those shots attribute to the shoes.

While I found myself slipping around before you never, I certainly don't feel so confident and stable. it is incredible how much a simple purchase such as shoes can do for the game. golf shoes I recommend highly to anyone who is serious about golf.

Why can't Pro Drive So Much Longer?

You might think that I'm going to the title question to answer in detail, but I am not. Instead I'm going to explain why this is so ridiculous a question.

The main reason that professionals with the golf ball more and more accurate than the average golfer because it professionals are able to run. they have based their entire life to the ball on the perfect angle trained, they have worked their muscles for the sole purpose of hitting a golf ball, and they have profit comfortability and trust with their clubs.

While you can be one of them, you probably don't have perfected all three.

"Why can't pro golfers drive so much longer" is not better than "why can the NBA guards shooting so much better" or "Why can't NFL quarterbacks throwing so much better."Once you find yourself asking that question it is important to note that it is not a $ 500 Golf Club, that does the trick, it's many years of dedicated practice and training.

Three common golfer's Lies

Golfers are not the most honest people in the world. Many will kick the ball out of the rough if they know they can get away with it, stupid to play the sanctions if it goes unnoticed and miserable shots that negative impact on their score card would be forgotten. Although we don't have a lot of people on the road, there are three main lies that golfers with your course. Even though they are not that big of a deal as cheating, they still have their rights in the Gulf Hall-of-Shame.

1. I am not so good. "

Any golfer says the. it doesn't matter if you are 70 or 125 shoot, you will still have to tell others that you are a terrible golfer. This is frustrating lie who are looking for a good time to learn the game-if they think they are pretty good that will do so until they hear complaining about the horrible round of 80.

2. "I have not forever golfed/I have sore muscles"

Golfers often give some of the worst excuse for poor performance in all of sports. If something goes wrong, it is certainly not your debt.A bad shot can easily occur as a result of the grass on the clubhead, a sound in the forest, a King in the neck, the Sun in the eye, or any other reason. If you have a less-than-perfect golfer-shooting shows you some of the excuses that, quite frankly, stupid.

3. "it's a simple game to learn"

Although this lie is probably one of the least common, is one of the most blatant and shameful. I've heard it on a number of occasions as amateurs beginners learning. "It's a simple game to learn, you play decent in no time at all. certainly, this would be contrary to the first lie-but it happens.

Play a round of golf, however, is not a simple game to learn-just ask pro golfer JC Anderson.

With the help of the rules of golf in your favor

Wade Pearse, a mental coach, posted an excellent article on the blog of Mike Pedersen the Gulf. In this article, he discusses some of the ways to the rules of golf work to your advantage. Here is an excellent summary:

It doesn't matter what went on during a round of golf with a curious happens, almost excited state of mind. You might say to yourself after hitting m., "OK, how cool would it be if I a spin on this hole even after hitting m.?"I give the players like the exact same perspective on a bird or a quad. after a bad hole where a line costs seemed to know my players a stroke that it had nothing to do with the rules.

They immediately collect double their attention and the attention. in contrast to the majority of the players that an already bad hole to change into a nightmare and let the displayed lap distance with the distance of to get them.

Golf Etiquette: maintaining a good Pace

SAN DIEGO - JUNE 12: Tiger Woods (L) and Adam...Image by Getty Images via @daylifeSlow-play on the golf course is one of the most fixable bad habits in the Gulf. Those who most often are the ones that are least aware of the importance of keeping up to speed.
Everyone complains about slow-play in front of them, but we tend to ignore those behind us when we are looking for a lost ball. While you should never rush your golf game, there are a number of tips that you can use to improve your overall tempo:
Know your options. If you're a golfer, don't drive average from the championship tees. While you may think that you are prepared for the challenge, you really just yourself for a long day of golf. Know what you do with plays ball. make sure to take note of the brand and the number on the ball, so you don't have your own play. Watch in another ball your shot error. Try to pay attention to when your ball landed. If you lose sight of the fact, ask one of your playing partners where they thought it might be that landed. plan your shot. After your foursome has shot, directly to your ball instead of moving from one computer to another (assuming that you are not in danger of being hit). While waiting for others, plan your shot by selecting your club and to know where you aim. If you think you have the ball may have been a "provisional shot" out of bounds, to make sure that you will not have to also Try back later. (when you're dealing with who plays) mulligans if there is pressure from the group behind the you read green.Do other more putts and have your shot prepared before your turn.
While the basics, there are many other ways to slow play. the most important rule of thumb should be to "play if you would want that for you to play". by doing so, you'll probably keep a good pace yourself be carried away by the process.

Within the range of games

One way to help keep your total score of golf is to play in your capabilities. How many times have you tried a corner only to end up in the rough cut? How many times have you tried to keep the water, not the short? We all do, it's human nature.

Golf, we tend to risk takers. If you learn to yourself, you are much more likely to come up with a better score in the end. here are three simple guidelines to decide whether or not the risk outweighs the reward:

1. are you on a roll?
If you have a great day, it would be worth taking a risk. you have to trust and accuracy to be worth the shot.If you're on 18-hole golf course and a terrible day, than you probably should not try anything too fancy.

2. have you practiced this shot?
If you are not yet a probability that you want, try practiced than you would probably try to play it safe. the driving range is where you need to get by the kinks, not the actual rate.

3. Will to eliminate it a shot?
There's no point in a corner to cut if you're going to be a shot of the Green either way. If there is a risk not come hand-in-hand with a reward, there is no reason to take it.
