According to a study by the Darrell Survey April by 31% of golfers have a hybrid club in their bag, compared with 7.5% in 2004.
FanNation tells us that 148 hybrid clubs in use in the pro-am AT&T Pebble Beach this past February were, compared to zero in 1997. Although hybrid of a necessity on the tour has not yet, they continue to grow in popularity as more and more players used to get them.
Some of the players who this club to use: Todd Hamilton, Zach Johnson, Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen, Ernie Els, David Toms Mike Weir and Tom Watson. probably the clubs are gaining popularity in the LPGA Tour as well.
